Church Deacons
What is a Deacon?
A deacon is one of the two standing offices of the church according to the New Testament. A deacon is to be a servant of the church and one who selflessly gives his life to that end. The biblical qualifications for the office of a deacon can be found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. The current deacons of Goreville First Baptist church are as follows:
